J-Cert Test

The J-Cert (Certificate of Japanese as Foreign Language) is a Japanese language proficiency test conducted by the "Japan International Human Capital Development Organization". This test is internationally recognized and highly valued for Japanese language proficiency standards. The Government of Japan, Reputed Universities, Immigration Bureaus, Japanese Corporate Houses and International Organizations have recognized it. This test focuses on language competence and on the society and culture of Japan, which differs from other language tests.

This level evaluates the basic understanding of Japanese. Candidates are expected to comprehend simple conversations and sentence structures, including basic kanji and vocabulary. The test includes approximately 80 questions, distributed across three sections: vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension, as well as listening comprehension.
